Summary
This codecision dossier concerns machinery for pesticide application. The amendments set essential health, safety and environmental requirements for such machinery before it is placed on the market, applying the precautionary principle, and specify design features including measuring systems, nozzles to limit spray drift, air-assisted and tunnel spraying, controlled filling and emptying, even deposition on target areas, and instructions to protect operators, the environment, bystanders and bee populations.
