Summary
Codecision dossier on implementing the bilateral safeguard clause and banana stabilisation mechanism under the EU/Colombia and Peru trade agreement. Amendments address monitoring of import statistics for Colombia and Peru, investigations and safeguard measures to prevent serious injury to Union producers, provisions for the outermost regions under Article 349 TFEU, trigger import volumes and suspension of preferential customs duty, annual Commission reports, and International Labour Organization standards.
