This dossier recasts the regulation on jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters. The amendments address grounds of jurisdiction based on the defendant's domicile and close links, rules for defendants not domiciled in a Member State, individual contracts of employment and the employee's place of work, jurisdiction over industrial action, tort, environmental damage and privacy violations, consumer contracts, and choice-of-court agreements.
