Summary
This dossier designates the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations (2012). Amendments address rights of older people under the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the response of European Councils to ageing populations and social models, the promotion of healthy and active ageing and intergenerational solidarity, labour-market participation of older people, access to health and social care, the economic crisis, elder abuse and the "silver economy".
