Summary
A legislative proposal simplifying certain requirements and financial management for the European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund and Cohesion Fund. The amendments respond to the economic and financial crisis with additional pre-financing for the worst-affected Member States, extended automatic decommitment deadlines, financial engineering instruments for SMEs, retention periods for investments and job creation, revision of operational programmes, and thresholds for major projects.
