Summary
The dossier addresses regulatory aspects of nanomaterials. Amendments revise recitals on nanomaterials' contribution to competitiveness and the Lisbon Strategy, the lack of harmonised definitions, data and exposure information, REACH guidance on substance identification, safety assessment methods, hazards and toxic effects identified by SCENIHR, funding under the Seventh Framework Programme, notification requirements for consumer products, and whether existing Community legislation sufficiently covers nanomaterials as substances.
