Summary
Own-initiative report on international trade and the internet. The amendments add citations to the e-commerce Directive and WTO ministerial declarations on electronic commerce, and recitals and paragraphs on internet access and cross-border shopping, the openness of the internet, opportunities for SMEs, intellectual property protection, counterfeiting, piracy and fraud, online advertising, market fragmentation, censorship as a disguised trade barrier and open standards in trade agreements.
