Summary
An own-initiative report on the evaluation of EU sanctions as part of the EU's actions and policies in the area of human rights. The amendments address sanctions and restrictive measures as instruments of the Common Foreign and Security Policy, the Basic Principles on the Use of Restrictive Measures, the preference for targeted over general sanctions, the need for evaluation and impact assessment, and environmental damage as a ground for sanctions.
