Summary
The dossier sets recommendations on the application of the principle of equal pay for men and women. Amendments document the gender pay gap and its causes in direct and indirect discrimination, labour market segregation, job classification and career breaks, reference Directive 2006/54/EC and the principle of equal pay for work of equal value, and call for legal framework improvements, collective bargaining, job-evaluation methodologies and measures on pensions and poverty.
