Summary
Legislative proposal on cross-border payments in the Community. Amendments build on Regulation (EC) No 2560/2001 covering cross-border credit transfers, electronic payments and cheques, address Multilateral Interchange Fees and the principle of equality of charges with national payments, apply the rules to electronically processed payments up to EUR 50 000, and require effective redress procedures for incorrect application.
