Summary

Proposed regulation on flavourings and food ingredients with flavouring properties for use in and on foods. Amendments define the scope excluding raw and non-compound foodstuffs such as spices, herbs, teas and infusions, address flavourings within the genetically modified food and feed regulation and 'produced from GMOs' labelling, restrict 'natural' and 'natural flavouring' to components at least 95% from the named source, and govern 'smoke flavouring' designation.
