Summary
This dossier concerns civil judicial cooperation on jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in matrimonial matters and matters of parental responsibility. Amendments revise provisions defining 'habitual residence', the law of the State where the marriage took place, application of the lex fori where the indicated law does not recognise separation or divorce or does so discriminatorily against one spouse, and the court's confirmation of the parties' consent.
