Summary
This dossier concerns the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport vehicles. The amendments revise recitals and provisions on including operational lifetime energy consumption, CO2 emissions and pollutant emissions as award criteria in public procurement, references to Directives 2004/17/EC and 2004/18/EC, the mandatory or voluntary nature of the criteria, exemptions for specialised and emergency vehicles, support for alternative fuels and hydrogen, and urban transport programmes.
