The EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027
This own-initiative report addresses the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027. The amendments call for stronger monitoring and evaluation of youth goals, better use of the EU Youth Dialogue and Youth Check, and coherence with instruments such as Erasmus+, the European Social Fund Plus and the Youth Guarantee under the next Multiannual Financial Framework. They cover youth employment and pensions, a ban on unpaid internships and traineeships, housing, education and media literacy, citizenship education, mental and physical health, and inclusion of rural youth, young carers, Roma and young people with fewer opportunities, with some amendments emphasising subsidiarity, cutting red tape, and the role of the family and SMEs.
