Summary

Own-initiative report on the importance of consent-based rape legislation in the EU. The amendments are largely citations, recalling the Treaties, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the Istanbul Convention, the Commission proposal on combating violence against women and domestic violence, the EU strategy for gender equality, European Court of Human Rights case law, and UN instruments on gender-based violence and the criminalisation of non-consensual sexual acts.
