Summary

Own-initiative report on the 2023 and 2024 Commission reports on Albania. Amendments debate whether enlargement remains the most effective EU foreign-policy instrument and geostrategic investment or whether cooperation should prevail, invoke the Copenhagen Criteria and the merit-based accession process based on democracy, the rule of law and fundamental rights, and reference Western Balkans summit declarations and the asylum agreement signed by the Albanian and Italian Governments.
