Summary

The dossier is Parliament's report on EU regulatory fitness, subsidiarity and proportionality (Better Law-Making, covering 2023 and 2024). Amendments address the principles of conferral, subsidiarity and proportionality, the role of national parliaments and the Early Warning System, transparency and accountability, excessive regulatory burdens and their effect on competitiveness and SMEs, gold-plating, the 'one in, one out' approach, and a European Ombudsman inquiry and the Omnibus I proposal.
