This procedure concerns the Research Programme of the Research Fund for Coal and Steel, including its technical and financial guidelines. The amendments emphasise technological neutrality, open calls covering low to high Technology Readiness Levels with participation of industry (including SMEs) and academic entities, and phasing out fossil fuels, especially coal, while supporting the revitalisation and repurposing of closed coal mines, skills, health and safety, and the steel value chain.
