Summary

This is a legislative procedure on the market stability reserve for the buildings, road transport and additional sectors. The amendments dispute changes to the reserve's price-containment mechanisms for the emissions trading system (ETS2), demand an impact assessment, and warn of climate and social consequences, with some seeking to strengthen or abolish ETS2 and to strengthen the Social Climate Fund.
