Summary
This procedure concerns a regulation establishing European Business Wallets for economic operators and public sector bodies to exchange identification data and electronic attestations of attributes across borders. The amendments reduce administrative burdens for SMEs, designate national supervisory bodies with administrative fines, add anti-profiling safeguards for the European Digital Directory (citing the EDPS) and a civil-law shield protecting notarisation and public registers, and provide for phased-in deployment for larger municipalities.
