Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): HERBST Niclas (EPP)
Summary

This procedure concerns the Common Fisheries Policy for 2028 to 2034, handled as ordinary legislation. The amendments deliver support through Member States' NRP Plans, ringfence funding for small-scale coastal fishing and transition away from towed gears, cover safety, energy transition and decarbonisation, bar support increasing fishing capacity, exclude electric pulse fishing, tie eligibility to WTO fisheries-subsidies rules, and address food security and women's role in the sector.
