Summary

Own-initiative report on the implementation of the Treaty provisions on national parliaments. The amendments stress national and regional parliaments' role in EU affairs and scrutiny of national governments, transparency of the Council's voting records, the subsidiarity early-warning system and the eight-week period under Protocol No 2, the role of regional parliaments and parliamentary minorities, interparliamentary cooperation, and possible Treaty revision.
