An own-initiative report on the role of EU development policy in transforming extractive industries for sustainable development in developing countries. The amendments call for a sustainable mining model with due diligence across the supply chain, compliance with ILO conventions and human rights, increased circularity and recycling, the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, Sustainable Investment Facilitation Agreements, climate partnerships, the European Green Deal, and the needs of local communities and indigenous peoples.
