Summary

The dossier concerns port State control of ships. Amendments extend inspections and update the list of international conventions (referencing the IMO, ILO, Cape Town, Hong Kong and HNS Conventions), address fishing vessels above certain lengths, the ship risk profile and environmental performance, exhaust-gas cleaning systems and underwater noise, seafarers' working and living conditions, short sea shipping, digitalisation, and the role of EMSA and the Commission.
