Assessment of the new communication of the European Commission on Outermost Regions
This own-initiative report assesses the Commission's new communication on the EU's outermost regions. Amendments focus on strengthening and increasing the budget of the POSEI programme to support agriculture, livestock and food security in these regions, addressing remoteness, climate change, natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, competition from third countries, and the role of family farming and biodiversity.
