Summary

Own-initiative report on the implementation of the principle of primacy of EU law. The amendments rework citations to TEU articles, Member State constitutions, the Costa v E.N.E.L. judgment and CJEU case-law, and recitals debating whether the principle of primacy is enshrined in the Treaties, its relation to the conferral of competences and to equality before the law, and its role in the effective and uniform application of EU law.
