Towards equal rights for people with disabilities
This own-initiative report is titled Towards equal rights for people with disabilities. Amendments invoke the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and its Optional Protocol, call to end discrimination, address employment, accessibility, independent living versus institutional care, mutual recognition of disability status, an EU disability card, the role of the Committee on Petitions, and the situation of women and children with disabilities.
