Summary

Own-initiative report on large transport infrastructure projects in the EU. Amendments welcome the European Court of Auditors review, criticise cost overruns and delays in EU co-funded projects and call for a risk-based monitoring approach and reduced administrative burden, reference Directive (EU) 2021/1187 on the trans-European transport network (TEN-T), the Connecting Europe Facility, single-point-of-contact permitting, and alignment with the European Green Deal.
