Summary

The dossier addresses a sustainable blue economy in the EU and the role of fisheries and aquaculture. The amendments revise recitals on blue-economy jobs, maritime and coastal tourism, ports and maritime transport, renewable offshore energy, biodiversity and marine ecosystems, pollution including plastics, CO2 and greenhouse-gas emissions, the Atlantic area and outermost regions.
