2021/2012(INI)·9th term·ITRE / PECH / TRAN·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): PETERSEN Morten (Renew)
Summary

This own-initiative report sets out a European strategy for offshore renewable energy. Amendments debate renewable energy's role in decarbonisation and climate neutrality by 2050 and the cited ambition of 340 GW capacity, while stressing impacts on fisheries, aquaculture, ecosystems and biodiversity. They call for dialogue with fishers, marine spatial planning, the precautionary principle, and protection of fishing grounds.

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
