Summary

Proposal on the system of own resources of the European Union. The amendments revise provisions on new own resources to repay NextGenerationEU debt and fund the Social Climate Fund, call rates on emissions-trading auctioning revenues with a maximum contribution for eligible Member States, the carbon border adjustment mechanism certificates, the OECD/G20 Pillar 1 agreement on residual profits of multinationals, a possible digital or single-market levy and financial transaction tax.
