Energy performance of buildings

2021/0426(COD)·9th term·ENVI / ITRE / TRAN·COD - Ordinary legislative procedure (ex-codecision procedure)·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): CUFFE Ciarán (Verts/ALE)
Summary

The dossier concerns the energy performance of buildings. The amendments set staged minimum energy performance requirements and target classes with dated deadlines for worst-performing residential, non-residential and public-body buildings, extend rules to major renovations and whole-lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions, and address fossil-fuel system bans, rooftop solar, heat pumps and electric-vehicle charging.

Plenary votes

35 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
