Improving working conditions of persons working through digital labour platforms
A proposed directive on improving the working conditions of persons working through digital labour platforms. The amendments strengthen rights around automated monitoring and decision-making systems, including human review and explanation of decisions affecting working conditions, protections for personal data and algorithmic management, channels for workers' representatives and trade unions, dispute resolution and redress, and rules on declaring platform work to labour inspectorates and social-protection bodies.
