Summary
A proposed regulation establishing an Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) to supervise obliged entities and coordinate Financial Intelligence Units in countering money laundering and terrorist financing. Amendments address the Authority's budget, staffing and fees, its General Board and Executive Board composition and appointments with European Parliament approval, independence and post-mandate restrictions, the seat agreement, crypto-asset transfers and Union restrictive measures against Russia over the war in Ukraine.
