Summary

A legislative file revising the EU Emissions Trading System for aviation. The amendments invoke the Paris Agreement and the Union's 2030 and 2050 climate targets, apply the linear reduction factor to aviation allowances, address the CORSIA scheme and past 'stop the clock' derogations, and raise non-CO2 emissions such as NOx, water vapour and contrails as a major part of aviation's climate impact.
