Rapporteurs (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): CASA David (EPP), DE LANGE Esther (EPP)
Summary

This dossier establishes the Social Climate Fund. Under the ordinary legislative procedure, Parliament and the Council of the EU decide together and the result is binding EU law. Seven committees, including Employment and Social Affairs and Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, worked on it under subjects such as transport policy, energy efficiency, climate policy and social inclusion. The tabled amendments fund affordable energy efficiency renovations, access to zero- and low-emission vehicles, bikes and public transport, support for vulnerable households and micro-enterprises facing energy and transport poverty, training and reskilling, and set financial envelope figures linked to revenues from an extended emissions trading system. It shares subjects such as climate policy with related files including Revision of the EU Emissions Trading System.

Plenary votes

36 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
