Sustainable aviation fuels (ReFuelEU Aviation Initiative)

2021/0205(COD)·9th term·ENVI / ITRE / TRAN·COD - Ordinary legislative procedure (ex-codecision procedure)·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): BAUZÁ DÍAZ José Ramón (Renew)
Summary

This dossier concerns sustainable aviation fuels (the ReFuelEU Aviation Initiative). The amendments define sustainable aviation fuels and address the air transport sector's greenhouse gas emissions, decarbonisation, a level playing field among aircraft operators on fuel costs, and the cost gap with conventional fuel. Several invoke climate-neutrality goals, the Paris Agreement, ICAO regulation, and a global SAF market.

26 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
