Summary

A discharge decision on the implementation of the 2019 general budget of the EU concerning the European External Action Service (EEAS). The amendments address the EEAS's role in external policy, gender and geographical imbalances among staff and Heads of Delegations, budget simplification, countering disinformation and foreign propaganda through the Strategic Communication Task Force, the EU Delegation network and the United Kingdom, and cite Court of Auditors observations and budget figures.
