Summary

This own-initiative report reviews the macroeconomic legislative framework for a better impact on Europe's real economy and improved transparency and democratic accountability. The amendments call to strengthen parliamentary scrutiny of the economic governance framework and the European Semester, to integrate the Fiscal Compact and the European Pillar of Social Rights, and address the ECB, the Eurogroup, the Stability and Growth Pact and Next Generation EU.
