Procedure

A statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations

2020/2026(INL)·9th term·EMPL / JURI / LIBE·INL - Legislative initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): LAGODINSKY Sergey (Verts/ALE)
Summary

This legislative-initiative report proposes a statute for European cross-border associations and non-profit organisations. Amendments revise recitals on the role of associations and NPOs in representing civil society, democracy and the internal market, the absence of a harmonised pan-European framework, and the impact of the COVID-19 crisis, and call for a new legal form of European Association with rules on establishment, governance and accountability.

4 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
