Summary

The dossier concerns new avenues for legal labour migration. The amendments address Member States' right to determine admission volumes for third-country nationals seeking work, the EU's power over entry and residence including family reunification, labour market integration involving social partners and NGOs, demographic change and labour shortages in sectors such as care, construction and agriculture, the Seasonal Workers and Blue Card Directives, and the effects of the COVID-19 crisis.
