Summary

A report on the EU/Honduras Voluntary Partnership Agreement on forest law enforcement, governance and trade in timber products. The amendments support addressing illegal logging and improving forest governance, establishing a Timber Legality Assurance System, condemn attacks on environmental and land defenders and the killing of Guapinol activists, reference the rights of Indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples, and cite the Paris Agreement, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FLEGT.
