Summary

The dossier concerns markets in financial instruments. The amendments address investor protection amid the COVID-19 pandemic, product governance exemptions for simple products such as plain vanilla bonds and corporate bonds with a make-whole clause, inducements and cost disclosure, classification of professional clients, loss reporting thresholds, the unbundling regime for investment research, and the role of ESMA; some reject the Commission proposal.
