Summary

An own-initiative report on the European Semester for economic policy coordination and the Annual Sustainable Growth Strategy 2020. The amendments push to green the Semester by aligning Member States' macroeconomic, fiscal and budgetary policies with the European Green Deal, carbon neutrality and the Sustainable Development Goals, debating flexibility under the Stability and Growth Pact, state aid and fossil fuel subsidy rules, the Paris Agreement, and public investment for the transition.
