Railway safety and signalling: Assessing the state of play of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) deployment
This own-initiative report assesses deployment of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) for railway safety and signalling. Amendments cite the Court of Auditors' findings on delays and weak Commission oversight and Member State coordination, the European Railway Agency, the Fourth Railway Package, decommissioning of Class-B systems, and retrofitting of rolling stock. They link ERTMS to the TEN-T core network, climate and digital targets, and modal shift to rail.
Plenary votes
1 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
