2019/2167(INI)·9th term·AFET / FEMM·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): URTASUN Ernest (Verts/ALE)
Summary

An own-initiative report on gender equality in the EU's foreign and security policy. The amendments call for systematic gender mainstreaming across foreign, security, trade and development policy, integration of an intersectional perspective, gender-responsive budgeting, and progress on gender balance in EEAS leadership and management; they reference sexual and gender-based violence, women's participation in peace processes, and the protection of women's and girls' rights.

40 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
