Rapporteurs (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): REGIMENTI Luisa (ID), KOUNTOURA Elena (GUE/NGL)
Summary

This own-initiative report concerns the impact of intimate partner violence and custody rights on women and children. Amendments add citations to the Victims' Rights Directive, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the Istanbul Convention, the Hague Conventions and CEDAW, and revise recitals affirming gender equality as a fundamental value and characterising gender-based violence as an extreme form of discrimination and a human rights violation.

Plenary votes

12 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
