Summary

This own-initiative report is the Banking Union annual report for 2019. The amendments debate completion of the Banking Union, the proposed European Deposit Insurance Scheme and the backstop for the Single Resolution Fund, non-performing loans, ECB supervision of systemically important institutions, the proportionality principle, and the Single Resolution Mechanism, with texts ranging from support to warnings of a 'Transfer Union' or calls to terminate the mechanism.
