Summary

This resolution concerns the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes. Amendments revise recitals on the cannabinoids of the cannabis plant including THC and CBD, the distinction between cannabis-based medicines approved by regulators such as the EMA and other forms of medical cannabis, divergent Member State legislation, scientific evidence for therapeutic effects, the lack of research and standardised labelling, and a clear legal definition distinguishing medical from non-medical applications.
