Summary

This resolution addresses the interface between chemical, product and waste legislation in implementing the circular economy package. Amendments aim to keep hazardous chemicals and substances of concern out of the material cycle, apply the waste hierarchy, design products for durability, reparability, reusability and recyclability, strengthen substitution of substances of very high concern under REACH with ECHA, improve tracking and transparency of substances in recycled materials, and address endocrine disruptors and SMEs.
